paint
Paint correction is the process of removing heavier imperfections in the paint, such as swirl marks, fine scratches, oxidation, water spots, and other blemishes that a paint enhancement can not. It involves using various machine polishers, polisher pads such as wool, microfiber & foam pads, different compound & polishes along with different techniques to level the paint surface/imperfections restoring its smoothness and clarity. It typically involves a 2 to 3 step process including a compound step with a wool or microfiber pad. The combination of abrasives from the compound along with the friction created from the wool or microfiber pads cut through the imperfections & defects. The compound step is then refined with 1 to 2 polishing steps depending on the paint color & softness that utilize a medium and fine polish to remove the haze & micro marring from the compound step to bring back the gloss, shine, depth & clarity. The goal is to eliminate imperfections while maximizing the depth, gloss, clarity and shine of the vehicle's paint without damaging the clear coat. After correction, the paint typically looks much more vibrant, with a more mirror-like finish & minimal imperfections if any remaining.

vs
enhancement
Unlike polishes used in paint enhancement, paint correction is designed to address more significant imperfections, such as swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation, restoring the paint’s depth, gloss, and clarity. It’s the ideal solution for those looking to fully restore their car’s paint to a like-new finish.
